With increasing workloads and demand for their services south of the border, Markon continue to invest in specialist equipment associated with the Road Marking and Road Planing industries and have recently taken delivery of a second catseye drilling machine.
This state of the art machine was built to the exacting standards demanded by Markon, and their preferred supplier “Somerford” (part of the Hitex Group) did not disappoint.
The machine, pictured above, can be adjusted to drill the precise dimensions of various types of catseye housings and is fitted with a high velocity suction device which sucks up and stores the arisings from the operation for later disposal.
A three man team operate and install the catseyes where daily outputs of some six kilometres can be achieved, reducing the impact of road closures on the travelling public and, of course, reducing traffic management costs for the client.
