Leiths

Aberdeen Geology Society enjoyed a recent field trip to Leiths Bluehill Quarry near Aberlour, accompanied by Gordon Williamson and Norman Phillips of Leiths.

Bluehill Quarry allowed them an insight in to the operation of a hard rock quarry, while demonstrating the geological relationship  between the Ben Rinnes granite and the Dalradian Grampian Group rock exposed in the quarry.
