Message from Ian Leith, Chairman

As you are all no doubt aware, we have sold our Newtongrange and Edston units to Tillicoultry Quarries Ltd.

Whilst we are not in the habit of disposing of assets, TQL made an excellent offer for these units as they would significantly increase their strategic position in the Central Belt.

In contrast, our heartland is in the north of Scotland, where it is our intention to use the proceeds from this sale for the further expansion and consolidation of our business.

I would like to take this personal opportunity to thank all our former employees at Newtongrange and Edston for their hard work and loyalty, and wish them well for the future.
