Leiths have partnered with LKAB Minerals to produce a new range of liquid screeds from Dyce, which can reach across Aberdeenshire. Manufactured with a Gypsol anhydrite binder and local sands, these screeds offer great performance.
Gypsol is a by-product of the hydrofluoric acid industry and can be force dried after only 7 days. Whether heated or unheated, the dimensional stability of a Gypsol-based screed significantly reduces the risk of cracking without needing any reinforcement. Additionally, the RIGAFloor ECO screeds can be placed in much larger bay sizes; typically 300m2 maximum single bay sizes for a heated floor screed and 1,000m2 on an unheated floor without the need for joints. Due to its strength and integrity, RIGAFloor ECO can be installed as an aesthetically-pleasing final exposed surface.
The range of products offered to contractors and specifiers suits most floor designs. These range from an ultra-thin 15mm screed, ideal for conversion or overlay projects, to bespoke screeds suitable for underfloor heating with 20mm of screed coverage.
LKAB Mineral’s Area Manager Daniel Gordon comments, “we are delighted to partner Leiths with the supply of our Gypsol screed binder. We look forward to supporting Leiths’ customers with solutions for their floor screeds and offer a specification service to ensure the best value and performance”.
RIGAFloor ECO is manufactured to BS8204-7:2003 and has a BBA Certification Approval and an EPD for Gypsol binder, available upon request.
