The new vehicles were specified with lightweight discharge equipment, alloy wheels and other weight-saving equipment to maximise our payload. The truck and trailer combinations can carry almost 31 tonnes of powder ensuring maximum vehicle efficiency.

These new vehicles comply with the latest Euro6d, Ultra Low Vehicle Emission requirements and are roughly 96% less polluting than when the Euro standard first began in the early 1990’s.

It is expected that these new vehicles will also have a fuel efficiency figure at least 0.75 miles per gallon better than the vehicles they replace.  Although this doesn’t sound much, it represents an 11% increase in efficiency, which could mean we use around 4,150 litres less fuel per vehicle per year. This increase in efficiency also means that we are reducing our CO² emissions by around 78 tonnes per vehicle per year.

Our older Mercedes trucks have covered around 630,000km (nearly 400,000 miles) in the six years they have been operating. As well as being less polluting and more efficient, the Renaults are also well equipped and comfortable for those drivers who spend nights away in their vehicles.
